Usability Testing
What Is Usability Testing?
Users are asked to complete specific tasks on a website or mobile app and to simultaneously express their thoughts and expectations. Tests can be performed on various types of devices depending on your needs and on the nature of your research project (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone).
Tests generally take place in a lab equipped with one-way mirrors. Our team takes care of everything: we prepare the test environment; greet the participants; moderate the tests and take notes during each task. This process allows you to attend the tests in real-time and to interact with the research team.
Why Do Usability Testing?
Usability testing is a way to understand how users are interacting with your website or mobile app. This feedback helps us identify the strengths and weaknesses of the user experience. Therefore, it is useful in all kinds of interactive marketing projects.
With our user-centered approach, we guide you through every step of the creation of a Web or mobile interface. Whether you wish to create a new website, test a mobile app before launch or assess the quality of your current interactive presence, our team will provide the insights needed to achieve your goals.
What Is the Process Surrounding Usability Testing?
imarklab works with you during the whole usability testing process.
Together, we start by setting the research project’s goals. We also identify what type of users should be targeted. This will be the foundation of the discussion guide. It also serves as a list of criteria to recruit participants. Once the research process begins, our team remains available to discuss the usability testing process, the compilation of results and the content of the analysis report. Your feedback is always very useful.
You would like to get more detailed and precise data to understand your users? Technologies such as eye tracking, emotions measurements and physiological measurement can be integrated in the usability testing process.
